My name is Iván Andreu Rascón, and I am a doctoral candidate in bilingualism and second language acquisition at Rutgers University. With more than nine years of experience in education, I am inspired to conduct research on teaching Spanish as a second or successive language to bilinguals. My research interests focus on the bilingual mind's perception and production of sounds, as well as how bilingual individuals categorize native and non-native sounds. In my most recent projects, I examined the duality and competition between visual and auditory sensory perception.
